Florida Department of Health in Jefferson Epidemiology (EPI) team monitors trends of reportable diseases that may occur in Jefferson County. The team investigates all food and water borne diseases as well as all animal bites cases that occur within the county. Additionally, the team is actively involved in preparedness for early detection of any terrorist incidents utilizing biological agents.
