Tornados, wildfires, floods, thunderstorms, heat waves, hurricanes, drought, terrorism, earthquakes, cold, space weather, nuclear and hazmat are hazards Floridians face. Do you know what to do if told to "shelter in place"? Is there a plan in place to meet with loved ones if you can’t get home and phones are disabled? If you are forced to evacuate have you thought about where you would go? Having a plan and awareness of emergencies that could affect you will empower you to act and make Jefferson County more resilient in responding to and recovering from natural or man-made emergencies.
